We hired Aspiring Catering to cater our destination Wedding in March 2020 in Wanaka and I honestly couldn’t rave about them enough! The team went above and beyond any of our expectations and we received the most amazing feedback from all of our guests on how smooth the day ran and how delicious all the food was (the grazing platter, potato gratin, the beef and the creme brûlée amongst the faves). Most of our guests commented on how lovely all the staff was, how their glass/belly was never empty and no request was too much for any member of their team. I wouldn’t change a thing and this is mostly due to this team! We honestly couldn’t be happier with the service and food that they provided. I’d also go as far as to say that you don’t need a wedding planner if you hire Aspiring Catering! They cover the whole day including setting the time line/ following it and making sure everyone is where they need to be. They also coordinate directly with other suppliers and make planning a wedding seem easy. Thank you thank you – we love you guys!
Lucy and the team at Aspiring Catering were apart of my partner and mine’s destination wedding day in Wanaka in October of 2019. All I can say is that Lucy and her team did an outstanding job. Coming from a family which food places such a huge role in family, community and togetherness she really understood the importance of food on the day. Everything was cooked to perfection and her and the team were amazing with all of our guests. We were really put at ease with how her team ( the amazing Sarah) ran the day and made sure than everything ran smoothly! Honestly such a great team! Love you guys! Could not recommend these guys enough! Best day ever!

Aspiring Catering catered our daughter’s wedding at NZ High Country, 29 February 2020, just 4 short weeks ago. The canapes were absolutely delicious, the meal itself was amazing and all our guests have raved about the quality of the food and the attention to detail. Lucy and her team were very professional, their service immaculate and they were attentive, friendly and well organised. Everything went like clockwork. I can’t say enough about Aspiring Catering – they were exceptional to work with on our wedding day! Prior to the wedding, they were incredibly organized and communicative, which made our wedding day effortless. They did all the coordination with Rippon Winery, our wedding venue, so that we didn’t have to deal with any details. Our guests raved about their grazing station, and are multiple facebook photos of the food by several of our guests to prove it! I highly recommend Aspiring Catering – they are exceptional!

.My husband and I were married in February and the bit we were most excited about was the food. Food is such an integral part of our lives that finding the right caterer was paramount to the success of our wedding; luckily, from the moment we first met Lucy we knew that Aspiring Catering were the caterers for us. Lucy is enthusiastic, organized, calm and simply fantastic, and her pride in her business extends throughout her team and in every bite. We can honestly say our expectations were well-exceeded and many of our guests commented on how delicious everything was, how fantastic the service, and how beautiful everything looked. At the end of the night I found myself going round taking bites of everything left (the cheese rolls!), even though I was full, because it was all just so delicious! We had the best day ever and we can’t thank the entire Aspiring Catering team enough – thank you all for everything! Highly recommend for your next event – they are the best that Wanaka has to offer.

BEST people and company in the business! I rarely write reviews but Lucy and team made our wedding day an absolute success, so the least I can do is recommend Aspiring Catering to anyone for any event. Honestly, we can’t thank Lucy and team at Aspiring Catering enough! We enjoyed every minute dealing with Lucy, and actually miss catching up with her over Skype – funny, friendly and an all round beautiful person who knows how to run a seriously good business in a seemingly effortless way. Right from our very first interaction with Lucy we knew we were in safe hands, which was crucial because we were organising our kiwi wedding from overseas. The team is friendly, professional, attentive, relaxed and passionate people who did an absolutely amazing job. Thank you!!!! Lucy and the aspiring team were irreplaceable in helping us bring our wedding together to make it the absolutely phenomenal day that it was. With a very sick groom in the lead up and the possibility that we couldn’t go ahead, Lucy was so amazing and understanding of the difficulties. Everything on the day went to plan and the food and service were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was spectacular and our guests are still raving about it 3 months later. My brothers are still talking about how many lamb cutlets they devoured… into the double figures. Wish we could do it all again.

Aspiring Catering! What can I say!?!? We would have been lost without Lucy and her team, that’s what I can say! After a few emails and phone calls almost 15 months before our wedding, we arranged to meet Lucy in Wanaka at a local cafe (we live out of town) I really didn’t know what to expect as I have never arranged a wedding before, but am trained in hospitality so thought I had a clue. Then we met Lucy and were blown away, I mean I thought I was organised!! But Lucy asked all the questions I hadn’t even thought of! After that first meeting I was like ‘Wow, we are in good hands’
Lucy was well and truly all over EVERYTHING! Whats more she was totally hands on and had everything under control.
Lucy and the team were simply magical and in my husband’s speech at our wedding he couldn’t speak higher of the wonderful service they provided us. The service and care continued the days after the wedding and everything was wrapped up with no fuss.
